United Voice, as a member of the National Council of Ambulance Unions (NCAU), has been strongly represented on the Paramedic Registration Stakeholder Reference Group which has been providing high level advice on the implementation of registration.
Recently QAS and United Voice representatives were invited to a briefing in relation to stage 1 amendments to the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law. This briefing provided our delegates an opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification on the proposed changes.
QAS have formed the National Registration for Paramedics Advisory Steering Committee. Its purpose is to assist in the delivery of the NRPP through the provision of expert advice on relevant activities and matters.
United Voice is well represented on the QAS registration advisory steering committee. Representatives include three delegates (a paramedic, a CSO and a senior educator) plus two officials from the ambulance team as guest members of the committee to ensure the process is fair and transparent, the interests of members are represented and prompt communication updates are provided.
