Your thoughts on mandatory sentencing

As assaults on Paramedics continue, the issue of whether mandatory sentencing should be implemented in Queensland is again current.

While we’ve canvassed support on this from Ambulance Officer’s in the past, we’re keen to hear your thoughts on the issue as the situation stands now. In previous conversations about this matter, we have heard from the majority of members based on the varying circumstances where occupational violence can occur, they feel the issue of sentencing should be left to the judiciary and be dealt with in a case-by-case manner.

All Ambulance Officer members are invited to complete the survey.
