Code One wins on ramping

The state government has agreed to United Voice’s demand that our delegates be directly consulted before finalising any solution to re-emerging ramping and medical emergency access problems.

The first meeting of the Emergency Services Management Committee (ESMC) took place last Wednesday and included our representatives Kroy Day, Mindy Thomas and Alan Mountford.

Further, the government will reintroduce the MEDAI Patient Access and Flow Directive and this will apply across the state including regional areas. Our recent action on Cairns ramping highlighted the need for this.
