Our App

United Voice has developed an app to make it easier for members to submit information to the union, and to access our news and information channels.

The app allows you to easily report:

  • Missed Meal Breaks
  • Ramping
  • Shift extensions
  • Any other information you want to notify us of.

You can also access publicly-available resources quickly and easily, including copies of Awards, arbitration decisions, our professional indemnity insurance policy and more.

The app isn't designed to replace our ambulance hotline, which should still be your first port of call if you have an industrial issue. You can submit an online form by clicking here or you can ring 3291 4550.

Who can download it?

The App is available for anyone to download and we have chosen not to make it password-encrypted, as our end goal is to provide something that makes it easier for you to report things to us – not more complicated.

When you use one of the reporting tools, you must enter your name. The reports are sent directly to the United Voice Ambulance Team, where the names are used to verify that the information received has come from a current United Voice member. Please enter your real name – your reports are confidential and we can only use them if we know where they’ve come from.

What happens if I submit a report through the App?

The Ambulance Team won’t be responding to every submission and the Ambulance Hotline should still be your first port of call for urgent industrial issues. (You can find the number in the ‘Contact’ section on the App).

Any data you submit will be verified by the team and added to the ongoing tracking the union keeps on key issues. We may also use the data to give to media – but no identifying information from your reports will be released publicly without your consent.

What can I download the App to?

Please only download the App to privately-owned Apple and Android devices, not to your QAS iPad or any other QAS property.

What if I have feedback?

After an initial three-month run with the current model, we will look at launching an update that may ramp up features as needed. Please email Edwina.cameron@unitedvoice.org.au with any suggestions for the next version.

How do I find the App?

Go to your relevant App store and search ‘United Voice Ambulance’.
