News from National Council of Ambulance Unions (NCAU)

Our peak body of Ambulance unions met last week and our Wide Bay State Councillor Michael Formica was elected as vice-president. Congratulations Michael and thanks in advance for all your work!

The first stage of the United Voice-commissioned study into the impacts of PTSD in the profession was presented to NCAU by Griffith University.

Much more work needs to be done on this study, but already it is confirming the chronic impact trauma has on our colleagues and that more support is needed.

Once we have further confirmed the results and next stages of the study, this is something United Voice will use to pursue tangible improvements for those affected.
