Members keep pressure on ramping

Direct reports and pictures from Cairns members enabled United Voice to again put the media spotlight on the increasing problem of ramping.

While we have got the Health and Ambulance Minister Cameron Dick to commit to reconstitute MEDAI, we remain concerned that the Health Department and QAS are not consulting properly to ensure our united voice is heard on this issue.

The Cairns problem highlights that, in addition to MEDAI, a statewide plan needs to be developed so that patients get the care they need and Ambos get the breaks they need without being held up for hours ramping at hospitals.
