Firm commitment to finish crews on ten hour shifts

Thanks to the hard work of United Voice members and your union representatives the unacceptable issue of out of service arrangements for ten hour shifts has been addressed.

QAS has given a firm commitment to finish crews on ten hour shifts following completion of their last case.

Compliance with the agreement will be monitored in Sunshine Coast and other LASNs over the next few months and QAS has given assurance that if there is no improvement in ten hour shift overruns they will meet with United Voice to change the mandatory out of service SOP to reflect ten hour and twelve hour shifts.
