United Voice reps and QAS met last week for the Fatigue Management Review in what turned out to be a “frank but positive exchange.” It turns out that QAS and UV are in agreement on many issues.
While there are some issues on which we have different views, QAS has framed its modelling consistent with the position taken by our representatives – Michael Formica, Lawrence Odlin, Mindy Thomas, Kroy Day and Geoff Sharpe.
UV’s position has been provided to QAS in a scoping document which was informed by a direct member survey and State Council consultation.
Fatigue can be crushing for Ambulance Officers and affects patient care and that’s why it is a critical part of our Code One campaign. We will keep you informed.
