Ramping continues to worsen despite our win in getting Health and Ambulance Minister Cameron Dick to reintroduce the MEDAI Patient Access and Flow Directive.
Reports in recent days show either the directive is not being properly implemented, or some hospital staff are circumventing the clear intent of the directive. It’s time for the Minister to ‘crack the whip’.
United Voice has issued critical public messages on ramping and will continue to do so until such pressure results in real action to relieve ramping for patients and paramedics. It’s important to send pictures of ramping whenever possible and remember, you will remain anonymous.
